Located near Junnar in Pune district, Shivneri is the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and a meaningful first stop on this circuit.
2. Sinhagad Fort
Located near Pune, Sinhagad is known for the 1670 battle in which Tanaji Malusare lost his life, and for its sweeping views over the Sahyadri hills.
3. Rajgad Fort
Located in the Velhe region of Pune district, Rajgad served as the capital of Shivaji Maharaj's kingdom for many years and is known for its large, well-structured layout.
4. Pratapgad Fort
Located near Mahabaleshwar in Satara district, Pratapgad is associated with the famous 1659 encounter between Shivaji Maharaj and Afzal Khan.
5. Raigad Fort
